Fifth Taste Foods is a plant-based innovation company dedicated to creating and commercializing sustainable and flavorful food solutions that support a healthier planet. We specialize in using umami, the "Fifth Taste, " to craft craveable, all-natural
foods.
Our journey began with oo’mämē®, a line of award-winning chile crisps inspired by global flavors. These products showcase our expertise in using umami to make irresistible foods and are sold regionally at Whole Foods, specialty shops across North America, and online.
Building on this success, we developed Harvest Shreds®, a plant-based alternative protein designed to taste and feel like meat while maintaining a clean, simple ingredient list. It’s tailored for food service, solving chefs' challenges with existing plant-based products. Currently, Harvest Shreds is available regionally with established distribution at Sysco, PFG and US Foods.
